Untitled (Shhh, Iron mother)

In a moment of pareidolia I realized that the (gothic arch) shape of the ironing machine resembles a draped virgin Mary or some of its iconic representations in art history. There’s an interesting (predesigned) symbolic relation happening here between the tool whose purpose is to straighten the wrinkles of our clothes to keep us looking proper in the eyes of others and the symbolic figure of motherhood, sanctity and purity whose purpose is to keeps the morality of the western world in check.
